Coldwell Banker City Side Realty in Lloydminster proves business cream rises to the top over time with its new office trophy.
The local Realtor is celebrating its 25th anniversary as an affiliate of the Coldwell Banker global real estate network with a special 25 year Crystal Milestone Award in hand.
The award was presented to Brad Gilbert, broker/owner of Coldwell Banker City Side Realty by Scott Mills, director of affiliate services at the Lloydminster realty office on June 14.
“I am really proud to have received the 25 year award and it means quite a bit to me,” said Gilbert who credits his staff for accomplishing the experience milestone.
“I am supported by an absolutely fantastic group of agents and associate brokers and they just show the ultimate in professionalism and that has maintained us throughout the years.”
Mills teamed up with Coldwell Banker’s senior marketing director, Melissa Lewandowski from the company’s Canadian headquarters in Burlington, Ont. to honour their Lloydminster affiliate.
“We are out here on behalf of 92,000 Coldwell Banker agents worldwide where we also have over 3,000 offices, and we are here recognizing long-term affiliation,” said Mills.
Mills said Coldwell Banker is proud to recognize Gilbert’s loyalty to the brand as an affiliate since 1993 with the special milestone award.
“What it recognizes is that he’s got a long-term successful company that has attracted high quality professional Realtors and that the consumers in the marketplace have trusted that organization for years upon years upon years,” he said.
Mills noted when you have that kind of longevity, you’ve got some secret success that’s going on.
“We have hundreds of offices across Canada, but there is always some special companies, and Brad and his team are particularly special to us,” said Mills.
Brad Gilbert is a well-known figure in organized real estate, having served as a director of the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) and the Saskatchewan Real Estate Association, and as president of the Alberta Real Estate Association.
Gilbert attributes the success of the business as a Coldwell Banker affiliate through economic booms and busts to the professionalism of his staff from sales agents to administrators.
“I’ve got a group of 13 agents, six of which are broker qualified and we’d like to get one more broker qualified so more than half of our agents are brokers and that shows the education and the professionalism to hold those designations,” he said.
Coldwell Banker City Side Realty was originally located downtown and built their current office building at 3812 51 Avenue, five years ago.
“It’s gained us a lot of extra parking and visibility,” said Gilbert who is hoping to see an upturn in the real estate market soon with Lloydminster three and half years into a economic slowdown.
“It doesn’t matter what industry we’re in, retail, the oil patch, real estate, we’ve all dug in and worked hard to support Lloydminster no matter what industry,” said Gilbert.
