Could the Lloydminster Fire Department hose the RCMP in the 2018 Todd Gustavson Memorial Battle of the Badges hockey game?
Who knows? This much we do know: the annual grudge match will be played on March 3 at the Centennial Civic Centre.
The cops keep winning, but the fire guys might find a way to return the favour.
Both hockey teams are expected to lay out their pre-game strategies to the media at the rink starting at 10:45 a.m. on Feb. 5
Expect the two team captains to drop their gloves for some verbal fisticuffs as per usual
Following team interviews there will be a skills competition for the players, which will act as a scouting report for everyone involved.
Reporters are also invited to lace up and dangle with the best of them in an open shinny game to cap off the face off.
This annual event honours the memory of  Gustavson, who served with the city fire department for 37 years, including 17 as chief.
He died suddenly in April of 2015.
