Saskatchewan residents eligible for disaster relief

The City of Lloydminster has received confirmation that the June 9 rainfall event will be recognized by Saskatchewan under the Provincial Disaster Assistance Program as a claim event eligible for disaster relief.
Saskatchewan residents impacted by the rainfall event on June 9, 2017 are encouraged to complete the Provincial Disaster Assistance Program Application form.
Applications are available at lloydminster.ca/rainfall or at City Hall and must be submitted directly to the Saskatchewan Provincial Disaster Assistance Program.
A provincial disaster recovery program is intended for uninsurable loss only which is limited to anything for which insurance is unavailable; not for losses which individuals chose not to insure.
The City has also submitted an application to the AB Disaster Recovery Program on behalf of Alberta residents in Lloydminster.
The application is under review and Alberta residents that have submitted a Disaster Tracking Form to the City will be notified once the Province has reached a decision regarding the City’s application.
