IT'S SUPPLEMENTAL, WATSON Owner and operator of Muscles and More, Jo Tichkowsky, stands by some of the many health supplements her business has to offer. Muscles and More also has a gym facility, giving her company the capability to provide clients the full health and exercise experience.

Whether you’re just looking to better your diet, increase your daily energy levels, or bulk up on body mass, Muscles and More Health and Fitness can help.
The supplement shop and gym, which has been locally owned and operated by Jo Tichkowsky for five years now, provides customers and clients with quality bodybuilding and health supplements and has a strong focus on giving them the best service possible.
“We’re very knowledgeable in terms of our body building supplements and that’s what we pride ourselves on,” said Tichkowsky.
“We’re Lloyd’s original supplement shop, so we really are mindful of what our clients needs are, so just because you’re going to come in the door and somebody said, ‘Take this, this and this,’ we will still ask you the questions and make sure what you’re leaving with is going to meet your needs.”
Aside from bodybuilding supplements, protein powders and pre-workout products, Muscles and More offers a variety of personal training programs for everyone from the average Joe who just wants to get more active, to the more serious people in the bodybuilding community.
Tichkowsky said the personal training is customized to the clients own requirements and needs, especially for those who are just entering exercise culture, and wants people to know the environment is safe and supportive.
“We will guide them through how to use weights properly what kind of program suits them and they’re needs,” she said.
“For the group sessions, we do a lot of kettle ball strength and conditioning work, and I really hate saying strength and conditioning because it’s kind of a catch phrase and I think sometimes it scares people away, because we modify to suit each person.”
As owner and operator Tichkowsky has her personal training certification, fitness and nutrition certificate, level one kettle bell training, level one cross fit, metabolic training and Olympic lifting certification among others.
She added she’s always been in the health and fitness field, always had an interest in sports, and has gone as far as participating in body building shows.
It’s Tichkowsky’s goal to keep her shop up and running for as long as possible and hopes to grow and expand her gym, but still have it small enough to maintain the intimate, laid back vibe to keep the personal connection with her clients.
“We’re really client centred here, that’s what I really want to push, and it’s for anybody,” she said.
“That’s the biggest message I want to put out there, it’s not just geared toward the body building community, it’s a shop you can come into and it’s for anybody and everybody.”
Anyone interested in checking out what Muscles and More has to offer can visit 15A 1804 - 50 Ave., or call Tichkowsky at (780) 875-9868.
