Lloyd a comfy vacation spot, says online poll

Lloydminster recently ranked in the top 15 coziest cities of the nation, revealing it as an attractive place to visit for people looking to find a comfortable vacation spot.
The list, put together by Expedia.ca, ranks Canadian cities that have the most comfortable accommodations, based on what other Canadian travellers who booked with the website experienced during their stays, after giving reviews of hotels in those locales.
The Border City came in at lucky number 13 in terms of places for those looking to unwind, relax and cozy up in a comfortable suite after a day spent experiencing the city.
“Our blog posts are intended to inspire Canadians planning their next getaway; many of our “Top Lists” highlight the best of Canada in various categories to identify destinations Canadians may be interested in visiting based on their preferences and interests,” said Adam Francis, director of brand marketing for Expedia Canada.
“The 55 Coziest Cities in Canada list was developed based on 2015 verified Expedia.ca user review data for hotels in these towns; our verified user reviews include ratings out of five stars for various hotel features, including “room comfort,” which was the determining criteria for this list.”
Francis added Expedia was able to identify Canadian cities with the highest average room comfort ratings, which referenced everything from pillows, to fire places, and anything else adding to an overall relaxing and comfortable stay.
All the cities on the lust were reviewed by more than 100 travellers to make an average rating by city, with Emerald Park, SK coming in first place after getting the highest rating of 4.6/5 for room comfort based on those user reviews.
Lloydminster came in at 13 with an average rating of 4.1/5, beating number 14, Markham, ON, and coming in just behind Nisku, Alta., which clocked in at 12th place on the list.
“We are always sharing new content on our blog; Canadians can check out new destination round-ups, including “Best Of” Canada lists curated by Expedia.ca on our blog at www.travelblog.expedia.ca,” Francis said.
Thirteen might seem like a bad omen, but considering the list included 54 other cities across the country, that ranking ain’t half bad.
