The Lloydminster Native Friendship Centre, in collaboration with SaskEnergy, invites you to donate your gently used, clean warm clothing to help those in need. You’ll not only wind up with a cleaner closet, but also feel good doing it. Please drop off at the Centre, 4602 - 49 Ave.
Check out the LABIS Store, 4920 - 50 St. Find gently used clothing and books in the store, all for a fraction of the price. Come in on Wednesdays and draw to receive 10, 25 or 50 per cent off your entire purchase! All donations are greatly appreciated, and all proceeds fund the Life Enrichment Program for brain injured persons.

Every Thursday night at the Lloydminster Legion draw is made. $5 a ticket. Every night 20 per cent of the week’s sale is won and winner gets to draw for ace and the big pot. All proceeds go to the Lloydminster Health Foundation, the Legion and the Kiwanis for community projects.

Points West Living Fall Tea and Bake Sale, 4025-56 Ave., from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. Three dollars per person, includes coffee/tea and dessert, as well as an entry for the door prize. There are also $2 raffle tickets for one of many gift baskets, as well as a silent auction.
Rick Lavigne Memorial Turkey Shoot at The Moose Lodge, 5213 - 57 St., Lloydminster, AB. 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Age divisions: 16 and over (adult), 12 to 16 (youth), six to 12 (kids). Nov. 20—charity haircuts
From 9:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. at LCHS, 5615-42 St., Women Warriors and community partners Lloydminster Public School Division LCHS Barons Club Cosmo, Holy Rosary High School, Lakeland College, Chatters Lloydminster and IBS for our 2nd Annual Haircuts for Santa Toys. Licensed hairstylists will cut hair and cosmetology students will wash and style hair to raise funds for Santa toys for kids. This year we’ll be donating to various non-profit organizations in Lloydminster, includng the Lloydminster Native Friendship Centre Santa party, and the Interval Home families in shelter. First come, first serve basis and there is no set prices for haircuts and styles, please donate whatever you can. All ages welcome.There will be silent auction items to bid on. The Tulliby Lake Educational Foundation is hosting Merry Christmas Market at the Tulliby Lake Communiplex from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.  This event is a fundraiser for the foundation and the concession is fundraiser for the 4-H group. Fresh breads, cookies and pies, soaps, cosmetics and home decor, mittens scarves, cozy blankets and much more! Come buy some Christmas presents!

Trauma—Now What, a presentation, sponsored by Walking Through Grief Society, recognizing Family Violence month. Speakers are RCMP, Victims Services and a mental health and emotional wellness counsellor. Free to all and refreshments available.

April 11 & 12—Mental health first aid
Lloydminster Learning Council with Neil Harris is pleased to offer a two day Mental Health First Aid class from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.  Fee is $150.  Identify mental health problems and intervention strategies. MHFA covers; substance/mood/anxiety and psychotic related disorders. Crisis situations covered: Overdoses, suicidal behavior, panic attacks, reactions to traumatic events and psychotic episodes. Participants must attend all 12 hours to receive a certificate. Target audience: General public, teachers, health service providers, emergency workers, frontline workers who deal with the public, volunteers, human resource professionals, employers and community groups.
