Every Thursday night at the Lloydminster Legion draw is made. $5 a ticket. Every night 20 per cent of the week’s sale is won and winner gets to draw for ace and the big pot. All proceeds go to the Lloydminster Health Foundation, the Legion and the Kiwanis for community projects.

Oct. 15-16 — QUILT SHOW
The Lloydminster Log Cabin Quilter’s Guild invites all to attend the Everything Quilted quilt show to enjoy displays of quilts, wall hangings, table runners and quilted accessories. Door prizes, a merchants mall and hourly demonstrations. Beverages, lunch and dessert will be available. Saturday: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. $5 admission, no charge for kids under 12.
Milleton Hall Swedish Smorgasbord, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Variety of dishes including roast beef, roast pork and swedish meatballs, as well as scandinavian delicacies: thin bread, fruit soup, pickled herring, rosettes,  and the widest choice of sweets you’ll ever see.
