Mayoral candidates cont.

1) There are many topics big and small on the minds of our residents and what I have heard during this campaign, and on my time on council, is the need for greater accountability of our administration.
Ensuring a higher level of professionalism, communication, and engagement between administration, council, and our residents.
2) Compared to any other mayoral candidate, I offer the most in terms of local government experience, provincial networks, and community involvement.
I encourage anyone reading this to visit my website at www.leadinglloydminster.ca and review my involvement in the community.
Cities are very complex, which includes a steep learning curve to understand how all the functions, plans, and people sync together in order to make a city function and grow.
3) I look forward to developing a new strategic plan with our new council to map out the priorities of wants and needs of the city for the next four years.
As mayor, I wish to continue to engage the community to understand what is important to them.
Personally, I would like to see investment in areas that will ensure growth and diversity of our city.
4) I see Lloydminster very differently; I see Lloydminster as a unique bi-provincial city that has a lot to offer.
As mayor I wish to connect with our provincial and federal governments and raise the profile of Lloydminster as a unified city.
I also would like to explore regionalization opportunities with our neighbours to effectively grow.
I strongly believe as a region we can accomplish more together than alone.
5) I will continue to use traditional media, signs, door-knocking and face-to-face visits but social media is a big part of everyday life and I have built a strong presence online.
As an example, my campaign video online has reached 51,000 people and shared over 340 times. You can find me on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook via “whitingjj” or by visiting www.leadinglloydminster.ca.
