Mayoral candidates

1. Loss of Confidence. Restoring trust in city council is acting in the best interest of the residents of Lloydminster. Developing detailed plans of action with residents’ input to deal with the numerous outstanding issues facing our city, including: the wastewater treatment plant, HUB purchase, and open disclosure of expense accounts.
2. I’ve developed strong relationships that have been fostered over 30 years at the municipal, provincial and federal levels while working in agriculture, environment, oil and gas, and as a Justice of the Peace. I have also worked with, trained and led teams of employees from around the world in these fields.
3. Cost containment and managing of expenses in our current economy is critical. I will be supporting a zero per cent tax increase for 2017. We will prioritize needs and wants and embrace treating city expenditures like they are our own.
4. Lloydminster requires a statesman to convey the particular needs clearly with a plan for present and future growth. Cooperation and working together with our local elected provincial representatives is paramount. I will provide a mature and passionate approach as an advocate of Lloydminster’s needs to all levels of government.
5. My campaign has engaged young and old from its beginning by demonstrating the value of asking questions. I am engaging those who have never voted, who desire to know what is happening with our city. Helping them understand who they vote for will make a difference, and that every vote matters.
