Furniture Haus and Furniture Gallery is joining other downtown businesses in giving great deals to downtown shoppers.

Streetscapes Destination Downtown’s “Ring in Spring Downtown” campaign continues with Homestyle and Specialty Retail week.
The week will feature a number of sales and events at downtown businesses centred on homes and home interiors.
“A bunch of our businesses are working together to do some special promotions and to advertise a lot of our individual promotions,” said Kerry Million, owner of Furniture Haus and Furniture Gallery.
“With it all being on at the same time, we can try to draw customers to the downtown by combining our efforts.”
This will give customers a chance to take advantage of great pricing on products at all the stores involved and experience some of the businesses they may not have checked out before.
There will also be different events and seminars at participating businesses like Furniture Gallery’s demonstration on mixing and matching to create custom dining sets, which takes place on Wednesday, April 27.
Also on Wednesday, Furniture Haus will have an information session on how to transform a room in a simple way with just an area rug.
“Then on the Saturday at Furniture Gallery I’m going to do “how to choose your perfect accent chair”, so any customer can come in and we’re going to do a little half hour presentation just to give people different ideas,” said Million.
Other items on the agenda for the week are the Collective Art Market, which will include “tabletop herb gardens” with Audina from Flowers on the Fly and Laura of F’Laura & Company Greenhouse, taking place on April 25.
Cindy Macnab of Daysville Designs will host “step stool painting” where participants will paint and decorate handmade step stools by Vince Scaife—another artisan in The Collective Art Market.
All supplies are included and the decorating will begin April 28 at 6:30 p.m.
The Country Store will also be showcasing antique furniture and home decor from April 25 – 30 and Midwest Furniture will be showing off the latest fabric trends in furniture on April 29 and April 30.
