Lloydminster city council awarded the 2016 Geotechnical and Materials Testing Services agreement to SolidEarth Geotechnical Inc. of Lloydminster with a billing maximum or upset limit of $300,000.
The city said Tuesday evening the work is best procured as a standing offer agreement as the exact quantity and cost of services is not known.
The work will involve completing materials testing on soils, aggregates, asphalt and concrete and having a geotechnical engineer available for consultation throughout the design and construction processes.
The testing contract means the services aren’t applied piecemeal when needed.
