Grade 6 student Noah Logan got the chance to munch out on tire d’érable, which, in French-speaking Canada, is a sugar candy made by boiling maple sap past the point where it would form maple syrup, but not so long that it turns into maple butter or sugar. Students at Rendell Park Elementary School got some time off class Friday for Carnaval de Rendell Park, where events like indoor snowball fights, dog sledding and floor curling was offered up for entertainment.
