The Source's own marketing manager, Deanna Reschny, holds one of the drop-off barrels that can be found in any of the participating Sobeys $500 grocery giveaway contest stores.

Sobeys’ $500 grocery giveaway contest is underway in the Source.
The fun contest launched in Tuesday’s paper and will run for the next three Tuesday editions before a lucky winner is announced March 8.
“I think $500 in grocery vouchers is something everyone would want, so get out there and enter,” said Deanna Reschny, Lloydminister Source’s marketing manager.
“It’s the only way you’re going to win.”
Source readers can win $500 in grocery gift cards by visiting any of the supporting businesses listed in the contest ad for the next three Tuesday editions.
“It’s a great way to promote our local businesses that are promoting this contest,” said Reschny.
“You could win big.”
Each store supporting the contest has its own contest entry barrel.
“There is no purchase necessary, but feel free to browse the store because they are giving you a chance to win the $500 in Sobeys gift cards,” said Reschny.
Just one entry per store will be drawn for the grand prize draw to be made by Sobeys general manager Kevin Rusteika.
That makes the odds of winning the final draw very good!
“With the tough economic times, I am sure everyone could use a pick-me-up with groceries,” said Reschny.
“I know the cost of produce right now is through the roof.”
Reschny said if the $500 grocery giveaway goes over well the Source will likely come up with a new contest to help the community.
“We try and help – we are the local paper and we want to give back to our community,” she said.
The contest rules are posted on Sobeys’ sponsor ad.
Watch for it in Tuesday’s Source.
