A 65-year-old Lloydminster man has been charged following an armed robbery at a Lloydminster pharmacy.
Mounties were called to the drug store — which police refused to name — just after 9 a.m. Tuesday.
In a terse press release RCMP said a lone male entered the business, produced a handgun and demanded narcotics from an employee.
The man took the narcotics — which police refused to identify — and left.
Police conducted extensive patrols and searched surrounding businesses before finding the man close to where the robbery occurred.
Again, police did not say where that was.
Cops arrested the man and recovered a BB handgun .
George Mcleod, 65 of Lloydminster, is facing charges of armed robbery, two counts of possess weapon for dangerous purpose, and using firearm in a commission of offence.
He is set to appear in Alberta Provincial Court Jan. 12.
