Border City residents and business owners will have the chance to ask questions and hear from the Alberta finance minister himself on Wednesday, as the Lloydminster Chamber of Commerce hosts a special luncheon.

Pat Tenney, executive director of the Lloydminster Chamber of Commerce, said that it’s great to have Finance Minister Robin Campbell in the area.

“The Chamber of Commerce always tries to bring cabinet ministers to the area for our members to hear from,” she said.

“We will be serving lunch and attendees will be able to hear from the Minister himself. Then afterwards, the minister will take some questions from the floor on a range of topics.”

Last year, the Chamber of Commerce also hosted Ken Krawetz, minister of finance for the province of Saskatchewan.

Tenney said that Krawetz was here because of his post budget tour.

“This stop for Minister Campbell will probably be about what the Alberta budget might look like,” Tenney said.

Tickets are $25 plus GST per person and to get a ticket you can contact the chamber office.

Tenney said that having a minister like Campbell come to Lloydminster and hear from the people of the Border City is always a good thing to have.

Tickets can be purchased by calling the Chamber of Commerce Directly at 780-875-9013, or by stopping at the Chamber office located at 441 - 52 Ave. Tickets can be purchased by members and non-members of the Chamber of Commerce.

The event takes place at the Servus Sports Centre OTS Room.
