On Dec. 5, 2014, the Lloydminster RCMP General Investigation Section conducted a search warrant on a home near 22 Street and 52 Avenue.

As a result of the search warrant, a large quantity of cocaine was seized. Methamphetamine, marijuana, fentanyl, and other prescription drugs were also seized. During the search of the residence, over $3,600 cash was recovered. RCMP also located a stolen .9 mm hand gun.

“This search warrant was the result of persistent and dedicated police work. The street value for the cocaine alone is close to $50,000,” said Const. Grant Kirzinger. “The recovery of a stolen handgun is always a big deal to the police, as it not only helps keeps our officers safe, but also the general public.”
