FIVE IN A ROW

Posted in By Colin
The Lloydminster Bobcats have gone from a team that couldn't sink any lower to one of the hottest teams in the Alberta Junior Hockey League in the span of two weeks.
The Bobcats rattled off their season high fifth straight win with a 2-1 win in Drayton Valley last night.
Kyle Bowen and Cooper Limb scored power play goals less than four minutes apart in the middle frame, erasing a 1-0 deficit and cruised to the victory. The Bobcats outshot the Thunder 17-4 in the third period to seal the win.
Red hot Garret Sheehan made 20 stops for the victory.
It’s hard to believe, just a couple of weeks ago, the Thunder had passed the Bobcats for the sixth and final playoff spot in the North Division. Today, the ‘Cats are now 10 points up on the struggling Thunder, who have won just once in their last 10 after a decent start to January.
Unfortunately for the Bobcats, they aren’t in action this weekend. They host the top team in the AJHL, the Spruce Grove Saints  on Feb. 3.
