Crack open a cold one and take in some live entertainment at this year’s Vermilion Fair beer gardens and grandstand.
Local musician Warne Noyce and his band the Combine Pilots will take the stage at this year’s beer gardens Thursday, Friday and Saturday night, playing a variety of fan favourites and covers.
“We’re going to be loud and proud and make some noise,” said Noyce. “It’s just one of the most fun beer gardens that you’ll ever, ever go to. It’s all three nights and everyone’s there to just have a good time, party and they’re appreciative of the music.”
This year will mark the band’s third appearance at the Vermilion Fair, and Noyce says he and the guys are looking forward to bringing their “rocking country - metal grass” sound to the stage.
“We played at the fair a couple years ago and it was one of our absolute favourite places we’ve played,” he said. “We pull it all out and get everybody dancing up on the tables.
“It’s the greatest beer gardens you’ll ever go to. People that have been before know just how fun it is and how awesome of a night it is.”
Noyce says while the following in Vermilion is quite large he and the Combine Pilots keep it fresh by combining original material with fan favourites, covers and new songs.
He says the greatest change to the band has been the introduction of a new member, elevating the band from a four-piece to a five-piece group.
“We’re a five-piece now and that’s added a whole new dimension,” said Noyce. “The lineup now is the best we’ve ever had. Hands down it’s the best band as far as everything - we just took it to the next level by adding a new member.”
